Made reservation think they were part of Hilton Res service since it popped up as the reservations website under the Hampton Inn on Amelia Island.
Confirmation email identified "David Young" as the billing name. Had to call back and call the hotel to verify the reservation was actually made in my name.
Their total charge was over $1300 for 7 nights - NCNR. Hotel provided me a statement of Hampton charges which was just under $1000. THe additonal "taxes and fees" along with "service charge" totalled to at least $220.47 more than Hilton would have charged me. These rip-off artists never mentioned they were NOT part of Hilton. When I realized what was going on, I made all my subsequent travel reservations directly with the Hilton website.
Watch out... this is a misdirect and misleading service.
