I ordered some Garcinia off of a Pop-up Advertisement for the product 2 weeks ago. Product advertised as $4.95, But when attempting to uncheck the box offering additional products, instead of unchecking the box, the order simply processes through and NEVER gives you a final confirmation screen which would normally allow a customer to made edits to their final order- it just Adds these additional products to your order without a final confirmation. When the product arrives, I see I've been charged an additional $5.95. Aggravated, I think oh well it's just six bucks, not worth disputing. What I didn't expect was a bill for $149.90 2 weeks later. The check/uncheck script had signed me up for a membership without me being notified. I was in disbelief that I had unauthorized charges and hadn’t received an emailed receipt for these additional charges/explanation of charges. I called to customer service and I told them everything and I told them that I want my money back.
The lady who talked to me said that she apologized and I should read the terms and conditions on their website. I told her that they did not put all the information/never seen any terms or conditions on the ordering screen much less nothing in the email I received after the order.
At first the rep offered to give me 25% of my money back. I said “This is fraud.” And she put me on hold, came back and said “50% refund.” I blew up and said I wanted 100% of my money back because this is a scam and fraudulent activity and I’d be reporting this to the BBB. She then “spoke to her manager one last time and came back stating he agreed to 100% refund and they'd cancel my membership and that it will reflect on my bank statement within 5 days.” We will see… If it’s not 100% refunded, I will be calling and speaking to this “manager.” I've read other reviews stating they were told they'd get a refund back and never did- but continued to see MORE charges even after telling the company to CANCEL EVERYTHING- including the "membership" they were forced into.
