Same complaint as others about this. Took a brief survey about my satisfaction with Amazon.com. with the promise of a product which would only cost me $5.99. There were positive reviews about the offer, so I ordered a purse. I did receive the product. Next credit card billing showed the 5.99 charge AND a $98 charge. I called the number listed on my credit card statement and got someone I could hardly understand. She said the $98 was a membership fee and the terms were listed on the online offer that I agreed to, and that I had the option of cancelling within 2 weeks, which I didn't do. She said I could cancel my membership if I called back before Jan. 16th, which I am guessing was after the next product would be shipped. I insisted she cancel me immediately. She offered vouchers to make up for the $98. She had talking points, of course. I insisted I wanted to cancel immediately and said I was going to file a complaint. She finally gave in and gave me a cancelation confirmation number. This online site was designed to hook people and I believe the positive reviews were false. Unfortunately, if there was fine print, it was hard to find or see and I missed it. I receive an ambiguous email the day following my phone call saying my request is under consideration and they will let me know their decision within two weeks. No company name but with a link to a "tracking system page." I wouldn't click on it and I am not even sure who it was from. What a scam.
