I was scammed by this person for $2,500 for a computer. The name he gave me was Jeff Wilcox. He told me he was an American citizen but had previously resided in Holland. He had been living in the U.S. x 7 years. He even had a Maryland phone number & resided in Rockville. He said he was widowed and lost his wife to breast cancer. He had a young daughter named Telisha. I totally fell for him after we had been communicating for over a month. I felt totally helpless and could not resist this man. His English writing was flawless and did not appear to be a scammer. His email is: [email protected]. I wired him money through Western Union to his driver: Amos Asinu. That’s what he told me.

This man would send me flowers, jewelry, and gift boxes and he professed his love for me. Here I thought I met my soulmate. How stupid can I be to fall for this? I am educated & have my Masters degree. I guess this can happen to any person. Well , he went on business to Ghana and contacted me telling me his computer and phones were damaged and needed me to send him money to purchase a computer. I would do anything for this man. Afterall, I felt he was real. He spent money on me for gifts.

Guess what else I did? Since his writing was flawless, I asked him to critique my resume. I would have to say that was the dumbest things I have ever done in my life. Love in powerful and makes you do stupid things. Unfortunately, my SSN was on my resume. Now, there is a possibility I may be a victim of fraud (and identity theft) since then I have reported this to my credit bureau. Again, I felt so helpless because I was totally taken by this man on your website. This is his Maryland phone number: 301-534-4071 and his number in Ghana: 011233241585773

He also convinced me to buy him four phones through Ebay for $1,200. Well, I still have not received the phones & cannot get my money back. I will do my best to sell them hoping I can get some money back. Lastly, he convinced me to buy him another computer through Apple.com. The computer cost was@$2,800. Luckily, I can get my money back on that for I returned it today.

I now realized that online dating is not for me. I compare what this man did to me as quite violating. I do not even care about getting my money back. I care about identity theft more than anything. He has all of my personal information. He could easily open up a credit card in my name.

After reading this email I am writing about this company, I realize how stupid I may appear to you. I have never experienced anything quite like this. I am numb and hopefully by me reporting this individual, this may prevent another women from being scammed.

Today I cancelled my Match account. I no longer want to be a member of Match.com. The funny thing is anybody can be a scammer. You cannot trust anyone and if the persons appear to be quite educated, you can be a victim quite easily.
