We booked our stay in Nice, France with Ralph Moorhouse & Karen Moorhouse for 4 days on August 2016. Please BEWARE, they are fraudsters who will keep your security deposit for any little thing. We were provided 2 sets of keys when we got to the unit by Jean Chouzenoux. When we went out for dinner the first night we locked the door with the 1 set of key provided and no issue, then we returned in the evening and put the key in the keyhole to unlock the unit and the key broke inside the lock because the key was very old. To get to the point here, Jean assured us that we wont be charged for the locksmith services or replacing of the lock because it was a "wear and tear/maintenance" issue and the owner will have to pay for it to be fixed. He said Ralph Moorhouse was not happy about it, but he will pay for it to be fixed because the lock was old, along with the entire unit which Pictures of the unit online are Very Deceiving. When we left the unit, we said bye, and left it in clean condition for them. When we arrived back in Toronto, we got an email from the owner Ralph Moorhouse & Karen Moorhouse saying they are keeping our deposit of 699 Euros ($875 Canadian Dollars) because the lock costed 2300 Euros to replace which is flat out BULLSH*T to begin with. It was not our fault that a key breaks inside of a lock, its the unit owner because they failed to maintain the elements of the unit by providing us with an old weak key to use. Also we were also not told about the COCHROACH infestation problem until we got to Nice, France and seen all the cochroaches in the unit. I woke up 1 morning and found a dead cochroach in my shower, and another day i found a dead cochroach in my shoe, absolutely disgusting. Jean informed us that the building has been having a big cochroach issue and we should have been notified prior to our arrival. Also, Something IMPORTANT to be aware of, they tell you to book your stay with bookingsync.com for the rent portion and then they tell you to pay the security deposit portion with Paypal.com so that way you are not covered when they STEAL your deposit, now we are filing a chargeback with our credit card company to get our money back from these Old scammers. Do Not Book your stay with these people, they are old thieves.
