In false cases scenario especially false dowry complants, TEP tax evasion petition is the best possible tool to help protect oneself from biased judiciary & unfair police & conniving advocates who have brought defame to this noble profession of advocacy by encouraging false cases by women. NRI can file tax evasion petition in order to have an upper edge. Similarly, criminal defamation can also be filed against the wife even at the nascent stage of investigation because if counter cases are begun before framing of charges then the sword of filing false cases punishment hangs on the head of the women/ disgruntled wife who files false case on husband & husband family to cover her own adultry & hidden motives of extortion & somtimes purely on the instigation by the relatives/ lawyers/ friends etc. Non Resident Indian can file RTI either directly by himself or through some relative in India but filing by one's own name is always useful by using your Indian address.
