At 7:43 AM CST 6-24-2016 a call from someone identifying themselves as Leslie Owens from the Department of Legal Affairs left a somewhat threatening message on our answering machine stating this was a verbal notification of legal action that was being taken against us and we should retain an attorney and call her back immediately. This scam has been around since at least 2014 so I didn't fall for it. At least she changed the message to not say it was the DLA of the IRS. Everyone should remember if anyone files legal action against you the court notifies you in writing and usually delivered by an officer of the court (aka: local sheriff dept or police dept officer). Will file with FDC.
