This company claimed i subscribed to their premium SMS service and then charged my account 8 times over 2months a total of $71.92. At no stage did i do what they said i needed to in order to subscribe - which was to click on a link to their service and then click subscribe once on their page. Their service is known as RideMyWave which they say provides videos, music and games.
They seem to be taking people's money with as little as a single incorrect click on a webpage (although i honestly don;t recall even seeing their webpage) and then hoping people will give up chasing their money. They already have enforceable undertakings from the Australian communications regulator (ACMA) regarding this issue from 2008 but it seems the problems continue....
