About a month ago we received a parking ticket dated 11/02/2012. We have never this this information and we were not aware that we had been issued a ticket dated then, if we had it would of been paid promptly. I made a call to the company who sent the ticket information and they were not able to help me. I in turn called the Sheriff's Sub-Station located on Bellflower Blvd.I told them what my problem was, that we had received a notice about a parking ticket issued in November 2012 and that we knew nothing about it. We were never aware that we got a parking ticket in November 2012 and if we did it would of been paid. My question was to him "what on earth has taken the City of Bellflower so long to notify us? The sheriff who answered my call told me that he had received several calls that day about the same issue. he informed me that The City of Bellflower had got a new contract with a new company that handles their parking ticket citations. he said there is a problem with this company and for us to disregard this noticed. I said to him are you sure? He said yes and that's what we did until March 11, 2016. Guess what? We have received a collection notice saying we owe $188.00 and due to the delinquency of this citation, we no longer have the right to claim the citation was issued in error. This is absolutely ridiculous. I went to the website www.pticket.com/bellflower and they say the site is under maintenance, and try back in an hour. It's been 3 hours. What kind of a scam are they trying to pull off here. I am in total disbelief that the City of Bellflower is trying to do this after 4 years. What has taken them so long with these citations? On Monday I will try to get to the bottom of this issue. The time I will be wasting on this makes me very angry. I have other important things that I need to be taking of.
