I received a pop-up saying my computer was hacked and almost 3 hours later, they had racked up a charge of close to $850. I was in a hurry to leave on a trip and never thought I could get scammed. I heard a report this morning on the Today show about how this scam works and it looked too familiar. How can I recoup my money? I still see these screens show up that look like DOS script but can't print the screen because they disappear too quickly. Any suggestions? I did put the charge on my credit card so I think I will dispute the charge and figure out how to get their system off of my computer. Is that a good idea?
