fake Nigerian scam pretend to be Bunduq Oil UAE

Hi,

I was recently contacted by a scam artist who supposedly saw my Cv on indeed

They claim to be from Bunduq Oil producing company in Abu Dhabi.

Its a scam, no such positions are legitimate.

The first email went like this

Hello,

We're an Oil producing company in the UAE we saw your CV on indeedand we find it very interesting,

We require to to send an updated version of your CV to us at bunduqoilae for further perusal after which we will
send you our Online application Questions concerning the job openings we currently have in regards to offering you a Job,

Seemed harmless enough, sent off my CV.

Got this reply

Wow I have it, and I didn't even have to interview. Then it hit me I didn't even have to interview. Hey I thought maybe this is the way they do it in Abu Dhabi. But I checked the website. BUNDUQoil.com

And it was a legitimate website. But then I saw the "Fake job disclaimer ". I started searching around online. And found that it had happened to other people.

I stopped before sending back the signed contract with my passport number.

Thankfully they didn't get any more out of me. It does Robbie me that they have my Cv and phone number and email but at least it was stopped before they could do any more damage.

I discovered online that the scam originates from somewhere in Nigeria.

This is the first time that something like this has happened to me and I do feel hurt that I was decieved, annoyed that I played along and angry that I can't get back at them.

All I can do is warn others of the danger.
It goes back to the old saying

" if something seems to good to be true, it's probably is "
