Our house flooded. We hired the "one man show" to give the little guy a chance to make some money. He needed cash up front to get started. Didn't hesitate to write the check and he didn't hesitate to cash it. Continued to say the carpet was in the warehouse and he'd get it installed. Took him to court. 2 other people in there with us for the same guy....who didn't show. Judge said "can't find him, can't do anything". Nobody knew where he was. Dead end. Before fleeing, he did call and say "I'm not stealing money from you. It was insurance money".
