I ordered the two products on 11/22/15. I paid $2.95 and $3.95 shipping and handling, before I read the very fine print at the bottom of my receipt that said I was signing up for a $109/month delivery of the product -- before I had even had the chance to try it.
The products were to be delivered on 11/27/15, but were not, and I went back to the website on 11/28/15 to see if I could find out why.
The company had actually changed my order date to 11/28/15, which is illegal in itself, especially since the charges were processed on my card on 11/22/15 and posted on 11/23/15.
I had a thirty minute conversation with two people -- one who said she was I Clearwater, Florida, and one who was supposedly a supervisor who said he was in California.
Both people told me that their terms said that I had to cancel the order within 24 hours if I wanted to receive the refund of the shipping fees, but the terms do not say that.
I addition, the terms are so convoluted that it would be impossible to return the product after trying it without being charged, which means it is not a risk free trial, as it is stated to be on the original web page.
I lost very little, thank goodness, but I had to request a new MasterCard, simply to avoid having any more charges made by this company.
I also did as was required in the terms and conditions and provided a written (email) cancellation of the orders.
My card company will dispute the shipping charges of $2.95 and $3.95, but this has simply been more trouble than it is worth and has caused a lot of stress for me. I a disabled with an autoimmune disorder, an stress makes me sicker.
This company should be put out of business. I doubt that a lot of people even know they can dispute the charges, but I plan to forward information on the terms and conditions to the Kansas Attorney General, and see if that office will look into the terms and conditions, which I believe are unlawful in that they do not allow for refunds of shipping fees, if the product is not delivered in time for the customer to even try the product during the 14 days from the date of the order, they will charge the customer the full amount of the first product, even though they say it is a risk free trial.
Sorry for all the people who lost a lot more money than I did, but it cost me some very bad stress which led to illness. The money I paid was not the issue. The issue was the unscrupulous manner of doing business by this company - Equinox DNA and RVTL Anti-Aging Serum.
The original ad I saw for these products were also claimed as being recommended by Dr. Oz, which I now doubt is true, especially because he would not sanction a business of this nature.
