Like many, many other people, I took up an offer in an ad on Facebook for trial samples of facecream. I had to pay a small delivery charge of about £4.50 . I never received my samples. Instead I received full products, although these were not large. I assumed the company was so sure of the quality of their product that they supplied these, believing the investment to be worthwhile as once tried, many customers would return. However, a few weeks later I found that I had been billed for two products at £186 the pair. This was to be a recurring monthly fee. I had not taken in what I later realised was in a small, greyed out box - information which said that they would be enrolling me into a monthly account. I Never received samples. I believe that there were probably never any samples to be had and that this was a trick to lift £186 from my bank account. I cancelled my order and informed my bank. I offered to pay, if I had to, in installments. Emails were never ever responded to.
I would never have dreamed of paying this amount for facecream. i would never have bothered sending off for samples if I had known this was the sort of price charged. However, it seems they are entitled to this money as I had agreed to it and indeed requested it by sending off the sample request.
While this may not be an official scam I believe that this company, whatever it is really called, uses very sharp practice to trick people out of a lot of money and the public should be aware of it.
It is very interesting to note how they try to hide themselves and to confuse matters by using various phone numbers and company names from Blue Sky Labs to Phoenix Labs, RVTL and MYskin. There are probably many more. In my opinion this is little better than theft,legal or otherwise.
