Reservation failed to follow through on only two requests I made that they swore that I wouldn't have a problem with. I requested non-smoking room and late night check in approx 2-5am due to the fact that I am a CANCER patient and was being driven to Orlando for one day treatment by my husband after he had worked all day on Saturday. My only two requests-non smoking and late check in couldn't be met. Instead, they booked me a smoking room with crossland economy studios and then cancelled it guaranteeing me no charges from the hotel. Then booked me another room at Crestwood Suites with my specific requests. We arrived at the hotel at 4:30am and there were no one in the lobby to check us in. We had no where to go and drove back two hrs to find a rest stop until my treatment. I was unable to take any medications and eat anything according to my diet prior to treatment. After my husband stayed up all night, he stayed up all day until we were done with treatment and drove us back home getting to GA at 4:45am on Monday. I was so weak and exhausted, I was unable to help with the drive and he had to console me and be strong to manage getting us back home. We had such a mentally and emotionally draining, frustrating, lost weekend... broke...being charged twice and then they left us stranded on Sunday morning, telling me that we can just go get another hotel. I was like...with what..you all took all my money. My family always book hotels for family getaways, we were not new at this but this was the first time we used reservation desk. I have never in my entire life had such a horrifying experience. After numerous phone calls to these people, and being stressed out over and over, they claim they would refund the charges plus compensation for the inconvenience. Today, I was told that I can contact the hotel, whose telling me, NO, sorry, we will not give you the refund. I will never stay at Crossland and I will never use reservation desk ever again. Crossland hotel is rude, Anita hung up on me, because she will not let me speak and refuse to take my request to higher management. All she insisted on was, no we will not refund and didn't want me to speak of anything else. Rude!!!!!!!! I do not see how people like this is hired to provide customer service much less have empathy for customers that were charged not to their fault and then have the guts to say...sorry, no refund. What goes around comes around!
