We were approached by Ryan C. Rogers at that time he represented McGinn Smith, as to invest our IRA with them. After about year it came out that McGinn Smith has been under Federal Investigation for Ponzi Scams using Clients monies. Ryan C. Rogers claimed he has not heard this and they were just going through some difficulty and will be back up in no time just be patient. Ryan C. Rogers told us he is branching off of McGinn Smith, he will still be part of them but would be opening his own Financial Management Company with (2) other managers from McGinn Smith. They are now called RMR Wealth Management LLC and will we be willing to go with him, we agreed.. He had us sign over transfer agreements to different holding companies and Services Dinosaur Securities, Millennium Trust Company, IRA Services Trust Company finally to RMR Wealth Management LLC. he said this is all normal procedures. When it finally came out the McGinn Smith was under indictments for Ponzi Scams we requested the moneys that he transferred. He then claimed it was tied to McGinn Smith investigations and we have to see what happens but he will personally guarantee and return every dime we invested of my money even if he has to take it out of his personal money. He then told me to file a mediation claim with FINRA so he would be able to pay the money to me directly once FINRA told him to and he would not contest the filing. I filed a mediation claim with FINRA as Ryan C. Rogers suggested. He then changed his tune, he wanted to speak to McGinn Smith Attorneys I reminded him that HE had advised me to file the mediation case and he claimed he then could pay me back the moneys. We received a promissory note from Ryan C. Rogers, RMR Wealth Management stating that they would pay our monies back in $1000 per month over a 10 year period with no personal guaranties, in fact there were no guarantees at all but once we agreed to this note we then could not hold Ryan C. Rogers or RMR Wealth Management LLC liable for these monies even if it was not paid back.. We then had to sign agreements that we would have to remove our claims against the other companies and if Ryan C. Rogers decided not to pay we had no repercussions to try and collect in Courts... We decided not to sign the agreement and move on to soon filing a Arbitration case with FINRA against all involved and let the cards fall where they may.. We are broke he took us for over $27000.00 our retirement. My wife had to have a pace maker I had a triple by pass, I am a disabled Combat Veteran.. If you have any dealings with these low life's don't walk away RUN!! Be careful with these scam artists.. I will do all I can to have their licenses revoked and a black mark against them so they can not due business in NY again. Ryan C. Smith word is not worth NOTHING and his ability to invest your money is a complete JOKE he is brain less as to Financial investments other then getting into your wallet!!!..
