13 October 2015: After a online survey for EE broadband (I was not surprised about it, as I am a EE customer), I was offered to choose a maximum of 2 items out of three, as a "thank you" for my time.
I went for one item, the RVTL cream for my wife, and was asked to pay postage and handling by debit card.
In minutes, I received at least four phone calls from a customer service confirming my "order" and saying that they would be happy to send two more samples for free (only P&H) as the optimum time for the cream to work is three months. I clearly said that I'd think about it and let them know, and never accepted.
To my surprise, while checking my back account this morning, I found out that 93 GBP are about to be charged on my card again. I called the bank, and they say they can't stop the payment. I will have to wait until the money is taken, and then dispute the payment.
I will call the police later, but it seems to be a well-known scam.
It's very hard to understand who is responsible for this, although I believe EE is not involved, and they just try their luck.
