I had gone in for an interview to the Calgary office for "world talent systems". It looked great. Nice gal that I spoke with. I hadn't signed anything and the gal I was speaking too said it would cost $180 to be on the website and another $5/monthly fee for "actors den". I said I would not be able to pay at the moment and I would have to think on it. She mentioned taking classes as well that would cost around $500. Later we talked on the phone and I had agreed with being on the website and sent a blank check for the Actors den fee. They took it, I was on the website. I told the lady that since I work it would be tough to do last minute calls for work. If anything came up last minute I would look into getting that time available.(I also had spoke with the manager and she tried to push taking "a 2 day acting course that would cost $500. I told her I wouldn't be able to afford it. She tried pushing it saying "if you want to succeed you will take it"). That time came, a manager contacted me, literally about 14 hrs before (night before, needed me in the morning). I told her I would see what I could do and get back to her. I got back to her that evening and informed her I couldn't make it in the morning as I do work and also had to work late. She flipped out at me saying they were expecting me to do it and started saying they were going to charge me $75 for not showing up. I was furious. Sure, if I'd said in ADVANCE I would be there, than 5 in the morning cancel, Okay, that is my bad. Not AT ALL the case. She flipped out as I said I had not signed a contract stating I owe this extra charge, and when I explained to her that myself, and the agent I spoke to had an agreement she said she didn't work there anymore, said this will be put on "my file" and that she will not be looking to get me work anymore. I got back to her and said I would like a refund than as this is highly unprofessional. She did not answer any further emails and to this day this "Actors Den" fee comes out of my account AFTER trying to contact them to stop payment. First the excuse was you have to send a letter to stop it, than it was we will look into it. Than, no answer, no call back. I would really appreciate all my money back. I couldn't believe how ignorant these people were. I WANT MY MONEY BACK
