I answered an add for english bulldog puppies. Woman said her son bread them and recently passed away. She has two left and just wants to get rid of them. They will cost me $350 to ship across the country to me in Md.I had to send her $$ through a money gram at Walmart. I was vary apprehensive, I even said that I'd send part then when the puppy arrived Id send the rest but when I questioned her she always had a legitimate sounding answer. She send a VARY LONG COMPLICATED flight plan which was to take almost 12hours. That raised a major concern. She told me the puppy would be delivered to my door by 3:00. I was so skeptical now I didn't even tell anyone in fear that I was being scammed. No one ever called throughout this entire day confirming or checking on anything. When 3 hours passed I called California because this woman would not give me the name of the trasit company that was shipping the puppy so I couldn't call them directly. They finally called me and said the puppy had been sitting at the airport since 1am and I need to purchase or rent a special crate for either $750 or $850. If I don't pay by money gram immediately then the authorities will come and arrest me for abandonment and cruelty to animals. When I asked why I never received a call they told me the calls kept dropping (yet I have no record of the call coming in). I asked for current pictures, their names, work address, e mail and phone numbers as well as their head supervisors. I was told that I'm making their job vary difficult and they just want to do their job and take care of this puppy safely. Please hurry.
I told them to stop hurrahing me and that I was contacting the authorities. I've lost $350, but could have lost a lot more.
I should have followed my own advise...If in doubt, don't.
