I got a call saying my computer was infected with viruses. I was instructed to open my files and count the errors. they instructed me to let them remotely fix the errors and viruses. but first they wanted my credit card information to charge a one time fee $177. I believed it was true and proceeded to let them fix my computer. 6 months later I received another call from uth and this time they told me I had hackers doing illegal things through my computer.
They scared me into believing this. they said for one more fee they could prevent hackers from getting into my computer. they promised there would never be any more charges for anything else wrong in the future with my computer. once again I believed them, I gave them my debit card information and they charged me another hundred and seventy seven dollars. they told me my computer would be fixed for the lifetime of this computer. Today my computer started beaping very loudly and it read across the screen I had Trojans and spyware. I called UTH immediately, and they fixed everything. I am very confused, if this is a scam, why is it when I called them, they fixed it.
