I began receiving Glamour magazine about two weeks ago. The first one I tossed in the trash without another thought because I don't read it and don't care to have a sample. Then another arrived. I contacted Glamour who set me jumping through hoops only to find out I was subscribed through valuemags.com and I supposedly have to contact THEM to cancel. I had never even heard of valuemags before today. Trying to get them on the phone is a nightmare going by others' attempts. Then valuemags adds insult by billing people for these unsolicited magazines and possibly damaging their credit with false charges of non-payment. These magazines arrive loaded with perfumed pages that give me a horrific migraine.
One complaint I read was from a woman who cannot have children being sent a magazine about children, causing her terrible emotional distress.
I will absolutely seek legal action against both Glamour and valuemags.com if these magazines keep coming or if I receive even ONE bill or an attempt at asking me to pay. The burden of proof is on them, and I will accept nothing less than solid proof that I myself ordered anything. I'm confident that won't happen as I never ordered a single magazine. I don't read them.
