One of their reps knocked on my door and told me that they represent Comed and they can decrease my electricity bills. That sounds like a good news, so I showed him my $166 bill from Comed for the month of January and he told me that the bill could be decreased in half.

After taking my information and gave me a paper to sign, I told him that I would read it first. after saying "sure" for about 1 minute, he kept telling me that he's in a hurry. Then I told him I'm going to do research about his company first before I signed, and he finally left.

Seriously, after comparing the actual price based on my current bill during the winter, it's not worth signing a contract with a company that I don't know about.

ComEd charges me 0.06397 x 1,679 kwh = 107.41 plus some other fees. According to the rep who told me that my bill would be decreased by half percent, they would charge me 0.0599 per kwh, which would save me around $7. For the current current season, I would save only around $1.60, when comparing to 345 kwh I consumed the same month last year.

How about a few complains I just read about the prices that would go up? I don't think it's worth signing a contract with them.
