I ordered Rebecca Villard’s year package for a baby shower gift which said we would receive one outfit every month for the year. The first four outfits we had some late issues but nothing major and we received our product, even though it was late. Then came outfit number 5, a Minnie Mouse outfit. I put in our request for the outfit on 5/24/14 for July pick up. On 6/25 I asked that I could pick-up outfit number 5 the week of July 15th and got a positive response (Direct quote “No problem and I will MAKE SURE it is actually ready for you that weekend this time lol”). On 7/19 I contacted her about pick-up. It was not ready. She promised it would be ready the next day for pick-up. It was not. After leaving for vacation and returning still with no item I contacted Rebecca again on 8/28 no response. I contacted Rebecca on 9/2 no response. I contacted Rebecca again on 9/5. She responded on 9/6 saying I could pick up on Sunday. On 9/8 she said she didn’t get home until late Sunday and she would drop off at my house. She did not. On 10/21 I contacted her again regarding this outfit. She said she would take care of it. On 10/30 I contacted her again as she was suppose to drop off at the house of the woman who we bought the gift for and she did not. On 12/1 I contacted her again regarding the order as after 10/31 came and no Minnie outfit, we changed the order as it was past Halloween and getting colder.
On 1/11 we still had not received outfit #5 and I wrote Rebecca (“Rebecca, This is beyond ridiculous that as should be getting the last of the outfits for the year deal we purchased and paid for that we have not received even half. Megan has asked for specific items and once again a promised deadline has passed. I would like to pick up the item that was promised to be done this weekend tomorrow. Please no more excuses. If you cannot follow through with your promises then please just refund the money and I can purchase a different gift. This was a gift and instead of this being a great thing for the new momma it is now this constant let down every time she is suppose to get a new item. I don't want any excuses. I just want the product promised.”) She did not respond to me.
On 1/19 I wrote to her again asking at this point for a refund because it was clear that we were not going to receive our product. No response.
On 1/21 I wrote to her again. “Ignoring me and Megan is not going to make this issue go away. I'm not going to drop the issue or just let you have keep $80 for product you did not deliver. We have been polite and beyond understanding and you continue to ignore messages and not refund the money. Megan has messaged you multiple times. This is beyond ridiculous. This clearly demonstrates you have intent to swindle and you purposely do this and continue with these scams to get money from people. STOP IGNORING MESSAGES AND REFUND THE MONEY.” She only responded to say “First off I am not continuing to do any type of scams to get money from people. And second I am not ignoring anyone. And zero intent to "swindle" as you say.”
On 1/23 I asked for a specific time I could expect my refund. She said it would be resolved with Megan with either product or refund Sunday night (1/25). By 1/25 we had not heard from her so I messaged her at 7:26pm “So it is now Sunday evening. I consider Sunday pretty much over and there has been no word from you on delivery and no money returned in my paypal. What is your plan exactly? I would appreciate a response.” She did not respond until 1/26 and it was at 8:12pm that she could not refund me through PayPal. “ tried to go into paypal to do the refund but it's making me do it as an echeck which will take 3-5 business days to clear for you. I would much rather bring you cash if that's okay. Do you have a mat on your porch I could leave it under or would you want to get from me in the morning? Just let me know.” I responded with I will be home all night and all morning tomorrow. She asked if there was a place she could drop it off that evening and I said we will be home so just knock. The day ended with still no refund. After another series of messages it was not until 1/27 at 10pm that I was refunded the remaining balance of the items we ordered. I have discovered I was one of many who had the same issues as I dug deeper and was lucky as I actually received a refund.
