I called an 800 number for my credit card but it went directlly to a retailer reward card offering an amount of money for a fee. The person asked for information that my credit card company is supposed to know. They will ask for your credit card number to charge you the fee. If this company has some way of intercepting calls or redirecting calls to them, be assured that there are other companies doing the same thing.
