I was visiting in Winnipeg, MB and I did not have a phone calling card but I saw that the phones had a card slot for credit card use to pay for the phone calls so I started to use a credit card on that first day till 09/28/2014. Two days later I headed home and no longer had to use pay phones. Thank God. I used pay phones nineteen times not knowing the terrible prices that were being charged for local and long distance services. The above named company is charging excessive rates and MTS Allstream Inc. in Winnipeg and throughout Manitoba should have a warning as to the rate of the charges that were being charged to their customers. I was shocked to read on my bills how much I was charged, not knowing what it was for. I thought someone illegally was using my credit card numbers and charging things up for themselves at my expense. These charges are outrageous. I should be re-reimbursed for most of those charges and MTS Allstream Inc. should have a warning on all their pay phones about these outlandish charges. Why can't MTS charge us directly at the going rate on our credit cards?
