Received a large pink envelope addressed to me. On the outside it said Women's Night Out Dinner Table Reserved for ___(My name)
On the back it said Women's Night Out, A Women's only Dinner Conference. Ladies this is a special night just for you. Tickets enclosed. Also it showed a gift bag Free Gift for Everyone. Open now to get you free gift from Bath & Body Works.
Inside it showed two events. Both were for Tuesday November 4, 2014. First was lunch at Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa at 12:00 P.M. Second was at 6:00 P.M. at The California Center for the Arts in Escondido.
Upon arrival was seated in rows while a movie played about the contributions of Mother Theresa to the world. After the video, we were given a pad of paper, a pen and a Snickers bar. The speaker was a man who began to tell the room about himself and his wife, building on his attempt to paint his wife as the big family achiever and pandering to the ladies. He used techniques like asking a question and getting people to agree with him out loud such as Who wants to make money and have more freedom? And write this down. Three day retreat, which meant that would be the first upsell to the room to pay for the next phase where more secrets about investment would be shared. He also mentioned the Deal Room, where when you find property you submit it to the company so they can tell you information on the property that any local Realtor could give you for free.
Sensing the scam as I read through the agenda, I knew I was leaving. The registration started at 5:15, doors open at 5:50, Event began at 6, 7:45 Break and Lunch in room (Lunch? this was suppose to be a dinner event, (remember the invitation said a dinner table has been reserved for you?) 8:00 Bonus Speaker and finally 9:15 Gifts Distributed, End of Event. Another freebie was supposed to be a copy of a book Believe it! Become it! by Paula Fellingham. They had the chutzpah to tie you up for 4 hours for a sandwich you could get at the local Vons or Sprouts for $3.99!
When the fact slipped out that the dinner was in fact a catered box style lunch box with cold cut sandwiches to be eaten while you sat in your chair as the pitch continued it became abundantly clear that this entire operation was a state to state scheme to con naive women into believing they could be shown how to become real estate investors for exorbitant fees charged to them by They even show on their glossy brochure a woman named Janet Andrew with a disclaimer that says Cases studies are from some top students most successful students their earnings are not typical and they purchased additional training. MANY OF OUR STUDENTS NO MAKE ANY MONEY.
As they couldn't even keep their promise to provide a real dinner at a real table, there is no justification to believe they offer any other value. The entire cards are stacked in their favor and it's a scheme.
From the Mother Theresa video to the spiritual overtones of the event it is a giant scheme and if you've read this and still go to the seminar you're very foolish. I hope this saves you a trip and keeps more people away from this foolish investment scam.

  • I totally agree with this review of the "Women's Night Out" event. I went to see what kind of women showed up for the event and to see if there was anything I could use to apply to my business. Getting you to "write this down" and "raise your hand if" are done to keep your mind busy instead of actually thinking and to talk yourself into doing what they want. Anything or anyone that expects you do make an on the spot decision is sketchy. If it's a legit business, why do you have to decide that night? They want it to be a woman's night out in hopes that the woman will give away the $2,000 that night for the upcoming "retreat". The speaker of the event just happens to be a good looking man too. Why isn't a woman the speaker of the event? I had already eaten supper before I came and I don't like Bath & Body products and I'd had enough of their slimey tactics, so I left halfway through. The huge smile on the woman's face who is the CEO with quotes from Mother Teresa just made me want to gag! As always, if it sounds too good to be true, then it is! Use the brain God gave us women!!!
