Received a call from Online Platform Management yesterday telling me that they had given our company free access to their services for last year and that they would now like me to pay £240. I said that I thought that Google places was free and she explained that we no longer appear because we weren't paying them.
I went online and looked and we were still on Google Places.
Karen was rude and pushy. She told me that I could have their services for £199 and that I could have seven days to pay. It all was very rushed and when I said that I was waiting for a call back from Google, she became even more curt and told me that she was going to cancel my listing.
Her phone number was 0161 212 7415. I could well understand someone falling for her spiel but there was just a rushed arrogance that led me to research further.
