Caviar is a product that cannot be imported into the US from anywhere in the world. The process of importation is strictly regulated by CITES and subject to inspections by US Customs, FDA and Fish and Wildlife agencies. It may only be purchased from a dealer located in the US that can produce a verifiable CITES certificate. The only known legitimate entity that can produce such certificate for Russian made product is www.blackcaviar.com. It must be noted that most dealers (even large and respectable ones) are purposely confusing the unaware consumer by playing with words trying to exploit the origin of the caviar producing species. Remember, Russian caviar and Russian made caviar is two very different things! Always insist on the later one and request the CITES certificate before purchasing this product.
