Dear Attorney Generals Office of Utah,

I am filing an official complaint against the website Archives.com. Owned and operated by Ancestery.com. Attached you will find one complaint out 388 submitted towards this company on Scambooks.com. Please feel free to check them out yourself. Complaints are very similar in nature. My story is almost exactly like the attached copy only I refuse to let it escalate to that level. They offer a 7 day trial for 7.95, but never grant access. Their system however does recognize my information. I signed up today 7-4-14. I have submitted 3 requests to reset my passcode and I even tried signing up again with the same info. Their system is telling me I have an active account. They won’t send me any confirmation email or a passcode reset email.
My credit card company is aware of these actions. Companies that run scams like this should be made to shut down and never given permission to operate again. Just like there should be more control on the internet and how many scams there are period.
