Logging into my Voipfone account yesterday a pop-up, which looked like a customer survey for Voip calls, came up on the screen. It offered me a free gift as a thank you for completing the survey. The 'submit' button took me to 3 'gifts'. I chose Age Renew but had to pay for postage. There was nothing telling me it was a trial and I had signed up for a monthly delivery if I did not return it within 14 days. This morning I discovered on Google that a lot of people had been scammed by this in the past and it had cost them a great deal of money. I did manage to contact Age Renew's customer service and I have cancelled and returned the item. However, it has taken me almost an entire morning to sort this out, plus a trip to the Post Office and the cost of postage for delivery and return of the item.

- I've just had exactly the same thing from a popup on Facebook. Took part in a survey for older women, and I matched the criteria. When I phoned up the company, I had a lady tell me that they never offer free trials (er... wrong!!) and I have now sent back the item, but they say that as I didn't quote a RMA number (have no idea what that is)they can't refund my £89.96 that they took from my bank account. Has anybody managed to get money back from them???
