I applied for an American visa on line as I was told by a friend that I could do it on line. It said it would cost $14 and later I saw that it also said plus a fee. I had trouble filing in the form and accidently did it twice so I paid twice. I became suspicious when I did not get an email back to confirm . I only got a number to punch I. To track my application. On seeing that I had two payments taken out of my card I rang up my bank and was told it was a scam. I cancelled my Visa card but was told that this might not be enough. Not only have I lost money but I have given my details to the scammer.
