We signed a contract with Joey Crawford who works for Ace Roofing, Inc. to replace our whole roof due to wind damage. He was asked to color match our existing shingles, but never brought the new shingles by to compare. He told us he had gone up on the roof and matched the shingles. We trusted that he knew how to match shingles since he said he had been in business for over 20 years. On 4/16/14, day of service, we left before anyone arrived. When we arrived home late that day, we were horrified at what we saw. The shingles they installed were not even in the same color family as what we had. Our original shingles were gray and the shingles they installed were an orange/tan against a red brick house. The looks of our home was completely ruined. We couldn't sell if we wanted to. We were told by the HOA that the roof had to be changed, which is understandable because the color was not approved. If Joey Crawford had matched the shingles like he said he did, this would not be an issue. Joey Crawford and Ace Roofing are taking no responsibility for this and even had the audacity to suggest we approved the shingles. If we had approved them, we would not be filing a complaint. Joey Crawford and Ace Roofing first told us they would take care of this and then we were told that they would not do anything about it. This has gone on for a month and now we have 10 days to change it, so we are on our own and have to fork out money to correct a mistake that was clearly Joey Crawford's. He is unscrupulous and does not tell the truth. Please let this be a warning. Do not let him near your home.
