An ad popped up for a 'free trial' teeth whitening program while looking for UK TV listings.I quit smoking 16months ago,so this sounded like a great offer.I did not want to supply my phone number, but to complete the application form,it was required.I submitted my number and other required details..big mistake.
I checked my bank account a few days later and found 0.77p had been taken by blizzard which I did not have a problem with.On 04/25/2014 a further payment of £2.38p,I thought..OK,post and packaging,so I let that payment go.Next, a payment on 05/02/14 was taken by a company called BuyBeautyHealth for £7.95,and alarm bells rang.I have no idea who this company is but my guess is they are both connected.Next,on 06/05/14 a further payment removed by blizzard for £57.75p,followed by another hit on my account for £25.00p.Total amount for this 'free trial' £93.85p or $157.87!I did email blizzard to cancel any arrangement and my bank have stopped any payments to them.My bank are intending to recover the money taken, this could take a while,if at all. They did send me a box of samples, which I could not return,[they give you 15 days] the small print in the'Terms and Conditions' is very dubious.A very expensive 'free trial'If it pops up,get rid of it,dont subscribe,if you have to,kill the power to your PC immediately! This is nothing less than highway robbery for the blind! DO NOT BE FOOLED,THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!
