I listed a wedding dress on craigslist & received a text from this 609-975-5355# saying they wanted to buy it. Then they gave me a sad story of how they recently got into an accident, they were in a wheel chair but luckily their fiance still loved them & wanted to marry them (WTF). They said they were from where I was from but currently in a different state because that is where their wedding would be "hold up".(They had very broken English). Even though the #'s area code is not from where I am from. But those were the reasons they couldn't meet me in person.

Then they said they would mail me a cashier's check but I had to mail the dress with in 24 hours & wanted my e-mail for details. Then I tried giving them a call to speak with them in person with no response or answer again.

These are all the classic signs of a scam.Don't be fooled, I wasn't but still I want to get their information out there.
1.) Broken English
2.) Want item mailed to a far away place.
3.) Cashier's Check (Even if it is cleared, it can be revoked with in 2 weeks & you would owe your bank money.
4.) Sob Story/ Reason they can't meet you.
