I soon realised shortly after applying for a loan that this was a scam. So I immediately contacted them to tell them to (A) Remove my details, in line with data protection act (B) Not to process ANY payment - in line with their own cancellation policy and stated terms and conditions; they ignored both requests.

I have now done some research and found the following that may be of some help to others:

1. They are NOT legally registered as per the UK data protection act and therefore, holding and processing payments using data they have no legal right to use.

2. Regardless of the "hidden" terms and conditions, they are clearly breaching advertising standards authority practice by presenting and image as a loan provider, rather than their primary business; which is to "sell and solicit a memberhsip to a financial services brokerage" - again complete and deliberate misrepresentation. Nowhere on the landing / home page is it made clear that this is a fee paying service!

Consequently, if you present this information to your bank then THEY ARE JOINTLY LIABLE as they have processed an illegal and unauthorised payment.

Should your bank continue to reject your claim, then go online and report to your local police and get a crime number. Present this to your bank and action will generally be taken.

I also now intend to raise an additional claim through my bank for the financial hardship and distress caused and will pursue adequate compensation. I strongly urge you to do the same, with a view to (A) Getting their credit / payment facility being removed (B)Ensuring they are prosecuted under the data protection act and (C) Forced to state their primary business aim (membership sales) correctly on their landing page.
