Looked for a payday loan to help with travelling to work for the last week of the month, and was mortified to find out two companies, one being credit maze have taken two charges of 69.72 from my account for a loan I didn't even take of £80.00.
I spoke to my bank who advised I could claim my money back under the consumer credit act. But when I spoke to credit maze they, said they were not associated with any act and could charge what they wanted. Surely there is a law that can protect people against this kind of unlawful operation.
More needs to be done about this company exploiting people. I am now in a worse position, having never even taken a loan
