I ordered and rec'd Armor Garage Lifetime Wood and Deck coating to refinish my deck. This included sufficient coating, stripper, rollers, etc. to do the job. I quickly found that I had to re-apply the stripper several times to get the required results of completely removing the old finish, even using a 3,000 psi pressure washer. I purchased a much cheaper stripper at a local Ace Hardware and finally got the entire deck completely down to the bare wood.
After allowing the deck to completely dry I applied 2 coats of the material per instructions. This was completed in late Sept. I was very pleased that I had a nice looking deck that I would not have to refinish for many years. Perhaps even in my lifetime.
What a shock to find after only 7 months that the finish was flaking off. I contacted Armor Garage and they were willing to have me scrape and sand the areas that were flaking and supply 4 gal. of finish to redo the whole deck.
I do not want to re-do that whole project over again without being positive that the same thing won't happen again.
Their "Lifetime Warranty" only covers material replacement, but I believe that I should be refunded the full price of purchase because of all the extra work and grief that their expensive product has caused me.
