Was selling a ring on Craigslist and was contacted by Cheryl Focht. They said they were very interested and would like to pay for the ring through PayPal and would transfer funds through them. That day I received an e-mail from PayPal with e-mail address [email protected], which was like the address I usually received e-mails from PayPal on except for the R in a circle at the end, which was easy to miss.
The e-mail said they had received the funds and once I supplied the tracking number to them through the use of the supplied e-mail, [email protected], they would credit the funds to my account in 3 days.
Once I did not receive funds I became suspicious and decided to do research on this e-mail account and found it had been used before to conduct this scam.
