I had been watching my credit card transactions waiting for a refund for an item I had returned when I noticed a charge on my account for $9.75 from Autonetshop ME.

Knowing I didn't make this charge and had never heard of this company I decided to googled the name. This was were I learned where others had also been charge by this company and it was a listed as being fraud.

Since the company didn't have a 800 number to call and I didn't want to call them long distance because I figured my phone bill would end up being higher than the charge they had made.

I instead called my credit card company to dispute the charge. They told me I'd have to cancel the card to make sure they would never ran another transaction thru.
I agreed to cancel my card but was then told it would take at least 21 days before they would refund the disputed charges.

After hearing it was going to take up to 21 days I decide to call the number to autonetshop even tho it was long distance to find out why they had charged me and how they got my card number.

The lady who answered the phone asked me the last four #'s on my card. With just those 4 numbers she was able to give me my name and address and told me that I had ordered a hammer online at 7:02 a.m. on the Oct. 13th.

I told her I did not made this purchase, she then told me she would have the credit in my account within 24 hours.
She never mentioned that the item has already been shipped or that I needed to send it back if I receive it.

I hung up the phone feeling I had just been told what I wanted to hear and I'd never see the money.
It's been 24 hours since I've call that number in New Jersey and I just now checked and I happy to say I received my credit just like she said I would.

Now I'm going to have to call the credit card company in the morning and drop the dispute.

So for everyone that has been charged by this company give them a call and hopefully you'll get your money back as fast and easy as I did.

I've noticed from all of the postings they have never charged anyone over $20. I guess they felt if they keep the charges low no one would notice it on their bills. I just happen to catch it because I was looking for another transaction. I hope this helps everyone thats been taken by this company.
