A 'Ms Elva' contacted me through an Alibaba buyers post regarding liquid filled flash drives with printable floats. After confirming the branding, lead time and cost the order (500 units) was paid 100% up front. The delivery was supposed to be a little over 5 working days. When, after 4 working days, I asked for an update, 'she' casually informed me that the MOQ for what I required (printing onto the float) was actually 5,000 units. I was then informed that they would supply them with an unbranded float. I replied that if the floats cannot be branded my client does not then require said float. 'She' agreed to this and when I tried to get a solid delivery ETA I was repeatedly stonewalled with, "soon, soon, next two days". This went on and on for about two weeks and the best ETA I got was that it, "would take some time". Eventually after INCESSANT demanding emails 'she' finally sent me a completely out of focus picture of the supposed pre-production sample which, despite the bad quality pic, could still be seen to HAVE a float and the main company logo branding on the actual flash drive was WRONG!
By now this was 24 working days since the order was placed and paid and my client had lost all faith in me since I could not give ANY indication of when the delivery would occur.
I immediately moved to cancel the order and demand a refund. Ms Elva appeared to be agreeing to this...she was just waiting on her boss! Needless to say after repeatedly emailing her (also by this stage I tried to call but it would not connect) and getting ignored it became painfully apparent that they/'she' are fraudsters/criminals.
