I received a phone voice message from "David Allen with the Fraud & Worthless Check Division" about a case that was about to be filed and picked up by "the State". I have not owned a checkbook or written a check in 7 or 8 years. For anything that I haven't felt comfortable about using a debit card for, for years now, I have purchased a money order with cash. I got suspicious and decided to investigate, first with a search online; and found multiple complaints. If you need a phone number to compare with... 713-955-2039; which doesn't necessarily mean a lot since there is software out there that can produce numbers to appear in your caller ID that may even lead you to believe the call is coming from your own area code. Be careful, folks, and watch out for/be ever protective of the senior citizens in your families and communities who are often targeted by scammers and con artists. Be well.
