I am reporting Crunch Fitness because in spite of requesting them for a resolution, the Regional Manager chose to ignore my complaint and the Club Manager, Mr. Palatucci did not respond after I said that I would let the public know of their scam to continue deducting membership fees even after one has cancelled membership. On 2 Feb 2014, I went to the club as required to complete a cancellation form to become effective 28 Feb 2014. I had called on 29th January but was told cancellation could not be done over the phone. I explained and even included on the form that the reason for termination was that I was being relocated out of the country. I was assured that no further charges would be levied as of 28 Feb 2014. However, on 3 Mar 2014 I saw a charge and immediately contacted the club manager thinking it was a mistake. The manager responded that the club's mandatory cancellation policy is 30 days and that my last payment would be 29 Feb 2014. He further insisted that I had cancelled membership on 3 Feb. I called his attention to the fact that Feb 2014 had only 28 days and I had actually filled out the form on a Sunday after coming from Church. I asked him to send me a copy of the cancellation form to prove his assertion. He told me that he could not send the form and asked me to call him. By this time of course I had already left the country and the international charges would have amounted to a significant amount. I gave him an opportunity to remedy the situation by refunding the illegal charge. My request was ignored. Hence, I'd advise anyone to stay away from Crunch Fitness, you will find out when you want to cancel membership that they actually lie about non-cancellation fee policy.
