Ordered a prom dress from this website Prom Dress Shop. Told the dress we wanted was not in stock. Later the next day we were searching a particular dress thru google to see who might have this dress we were looking at. Just happened to show up on PDS website to we clicked on the dress to look at it, and to see if they had it in a size 6. We decided did not want this dress and went to another website and ordered a different dress. The following day, I had an email from PDS stating they charged my credit card $278.00. Since they had all my credit card information, etc., for the dress they did not originally have in stock, they replaced the out of stock dress with the one we looked at on their website. I called them an told them we did not order that dress, they said we hit the confirm button and ordered the dress this was 5 days before the dress was to be shipped out. I told them since you have not shipped the dress, and I never intentionally ordered the dress to cancel the order. They refused to cancel stating that their policy is no return, exchanges, etc. They said I could pay a 30% restocking fee. I said no I will not pay $83.00 for something I did not order. They were extremely rude. I called my credit card company and they put the charge on hold, and informed me to mail the dress back to them once I received it. I mailed it back and got a ticket stating they received it on April 22, at 2:30 P.M. Now they are saying they never got the dress, and don't take returns at their warehouse. When I googled their so called warehouse it was a duplex house and someone would be home. They operate out of houses, but act like they are a big business. I even had a 3 way conversation with them with Capital One and still will not bend saying they never got the dress back. So here I am having to go over all this again in a letter to Capital One, who has since put the charge back on my credit card when they are the ones who told me to mail the dress back. So I have no dress (which I could have sold), and $278.00 charged to my credit card. This is internet theft, and it will be their word against mine. If they don't receive packages at their so called warehouse then wouldn't they say return to sender? I have never gotten the dress back. So bottom line they are a scam, and most likely have sold the dress full price, and will be getting money from mastercard for the dress. I will never order anything over the internet again. PDS in a joke and they should be put out of business!
