I posted a Nikon DF camera body on Craig's list. The scam artist listed above texted me on my cell indicting a desire to purchase the camera for the advertised price of $1450. He said he would pay me using PayPal and to send the camera to his son who was studying abroad. I received a bogus email purported to be from Paypal stating the $1450 plus an additional $100 shipping costs for a total of $1550 would be deposited in my checking account within the next 12 to 24 hours. I mailed the the camera using USPS express as requested by the buyer. The next day when I tried to transfer the money into my checking account there was a zero balance. I called Paypal to determine the status of the funds and was informed there were no transactions, that I had been scammed.
