I sent away for a "free" product and only had to pay $3.42 for postage…or so I thought. I just received a $145.45 Canadian charge on my credit card. I called Visa to complain and they said they see this scam all the time and it's a hard one to prove. Apparently in the fine print there is something about signing up for a subscription and that's what this charge is for. I don't have any contact information for this company to dispute the charge with them…which is what Visa tells me is the next step. In the meantime they've blocked my account so they can't charge anything further. I feel so embarrassed but I guess I'm not the only one this has happened to. Like the others…I just want my money back. If you have been through this please reply to my post and let me know how you handled it. Thanks!
