I thought I was at the USPS site and needed to report a change of address. I accepted a $6.95 charge. Then later when I tried to contact the site, the same email address they had sent me to confirm my change of address, I received a "Delivery Failure" message. Their email address was not good.

What raised my suspicions was not the $6.95 fee. It was one piece of information that they asked me to provide (which unfortunately I did provide). My date of birth! Post Office does not ask for date of birth.

After I found out that the email address was not good, I went to the USPS site one more time. This time I made sure it was not a third party site.

After filling out the form on the USPS site, which incidentally was exactly like the MyChangeAddress.Com form, I found out that the post office charges only $1.00 for identity verification purposes and they did not ask for my birth date.

I will report this fraudulent act to the authorities.
