My complaint is the same as the other people that have submitted a complaint against American Cash @ 785-727-2368 (when I tried to call the number back it was a busy signal ??). A man called me on my cell phone twice; I ignored the first call but went on and answered the second time. He did not speak good English and I couldn't understand what he said his name was. He rambled on so fast about me being a suspect in a lawsuit for fraud. I told him I was not aware of any lawsuit so he asked me to hold on and he put someone else on the phone that did not speak good English as well. He asked me not to ask any questions or stop him as he read the affidavit. Once he completed reading, I asked him who was the company and how much was I supposed to have received. He said it was from American Cash but it could have been one of the 3000 online companies that use different names. He did not tell me the amount borrowed only an amount of $786.16 which included taxes, and fees. He said I would be served at my work place the next day and I should retain a lawyer if I don't have representation at court I would be locked up for 30 days. He also told me that the total charges would be $8,484.87 is I was found guilty by a judge. I told him I did not get a loan online and I did not receive any funds in my account. He knew my bank name but when I asked where did I work he hung up. I'm glad I searched for the company online and saw this site about the scams committed by this company. I guess I will see if I get served tomorrow at my place of work. But I'm am not trying to be scammed!!
