I was using Trademe site in New Zealand and was invited to complete a survey. Thought it was a Trademe request and it appeared legitimate. Ther was a gift if completed. I thought the survey was extremely basic and should have cottoned on to the fact but kept going until I had paid $4.00 for postage of the gift and they sent me an email asking for a copy of my passport and the password for my card! Smelt the rat. Cancelled my card immediately but they had already checked the account and got their $4.00. I have reported this to Trademe and I see form your site that someone else has complained for exactly the same thing.
