I fell for the same trap when renewing both my husband's and son's passports through passport.uk.com. I was in a rush on my lunch break and did not check all pages on their website.
These sites must be shut, to charge £89.50 per application to check and send is unjustifiable. I can understand if they charge admin fees like the post office but not to charge that much and then we are expected to pay again for the passports.
