International boundaries
Around November last year we received a letter warning our company (we have two companies) that we are not registered and that under government ruling this is punishable by law. Seeing this we thought that Data Register is a subsidiary of ACRA or other government agency as they didn't specify properly and there was no specified amount to pay. Hence, we did what a responsible business establishment would do. And now they are asking us to pay $490 for each company. After researching we learned that a lot of other companies have complaints against this for misrepresentation and misleading advertisement. This is a clear form of robbery and government authorities should act on this before it goes around fooling more companies.
